The heart of a pool is the filter. To get the most out of bafry® Pool D1 products, the filter has to be in optimal conditions. The best "sand" is zeolites. Washed quartz sand can also be used. The purification pump must have a capacity that allows it to purify the entire volume of water in the pool in 4 - 6 hours.
Recirculation
The passage of water from the basin to the treatment plant will be done using perimeter overflows or skimmers. To achieve a correct recirculation, the extraction and return system must be placed in such a way that there is no "dead zone". The circulating water has to reach the filter through the skimmer and through the bottom to the filter. A return through the skimmer of 70 % and through the bottom of 30 % is recommended.Pool Cleaners
It is necessary to clean the bottom and the walls of the pool with a pool cleaner. After each cleaning of the bottom and walls it is necessary to wash the filter.Flocculant
Wind and rain bring in dirt of organic and inorganic origin. Bathers bring germs, parasites and particles such as hair, cream, etc. into the water. Many of these impurities are so small that they cannot be retained by the filter and therefore continue to float in suspension. If this amount increases, the water becomes cloudy. To avoid this process, it is advisable to use a coagulant flocculant. The flocculant has the ability to agglomerate the smallest particles to a larger size until they can be retained by the sand. By washing the filter, these particles will be removed. For large pools it is advisable to install a dosing pump that doses the necessary amount of flocculant.Cleaning the filter
The impurities retained in the filter must be removed by washing the filter. To achieve perfect filtration frequent washing is necessary. This removes all impurities and helps to eliminate bacteria and lower the dose of BafrPoolD1.Frequency of filter cleaning
Pools with a high frequency of bathers: every 2 days. Pools with a low frequency of bathers: every 4 days.pH regulation and adjustment
The exact control and adjustment of the pH is of the utmost importance. The correct pH is responsible for the quality of the water and the consumption of bafry® PoolD1. The tap water used to fill the pool has on average a pH of 6.5 - 6.8 and a temperature between 5 - 15 º C. The increase in the temperature of the pool water to between 25 and 29º C has the consequence that the CO2 that is in the water precipitates. The water loses acidity and becomes alkaline, that is, the pH increases. To lower the pH, bafry® pH - MENOS is used. The ideal pH is 6.5 - 6.8. Never add sodium hypochlorite or calcium hypochlorite because they raise the pH and cause incrustations! For large pools it is advisable to add bafry® pH - MENOS by means of a dosing pump.Algae
Normally it is not necessary to add an algaecide when caring for the pool with bafry® Pool D1. The constant and correct amount of bafry® Pool D1 guarantees good and healthy water without the formation of algae.Pool commissioning
Regardless of whether it is a new pool or one that was running with other products previously, the following conditions should be observed:
